Brian A Bolster
Head Coach/Aquatics Director
With 25 years of coaching experience, Brian will continue to coach the Sr. group. Brian has coached at Olympic Trials, World Championship Trials, Sr. and Jr Nationals while with the Osprey. Many of his swimmers have gone on to swim in college, including those who have received scholarships to Division 1 programs. Brian is the inventor of the Bolster Swim paddle, used by the team and sold by Finis around the world. As the founder of our team in the fall of 1996, he leads the staff into the team’s 21st year, overseeing the program’s coaching content and ethos, mentoring and working closely with all the coaches, while also receiving helpful feedback and tips from them. Brian seeks to leverage the knowledge gleaned and lessons learned along his journey to benefit the entire team. All this is accomplished through a growth mindset, a never ending quest for learning, personal growth and improvement. This is at the heart of the team’s philosophy and something all our coaches seek to pursue, model and instill within our swimmers. As Abraham Lincoln said, “The man who graduates today and stops learning tomorrow is uneducated the next day.”
